During the period of March 16–19, 2026, a working meeting on technical assistance in combating brucellosis was held at the Ministry of Agriculture, organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The meeting was aimed at assessing the progress achieved within the ongoing project since March 2025, as well as agreeing on further steps for the implementation of the project planned through March 2027.
The working meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as experts from the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia. Among the FAO specialists were Daniel Beltrán-Alcrudo, Animal Health Officer, and Mark Harald Hovari, an expert in emergency preparedness in the field of animal health.
From the NRCV, General Director M. Berdikulov and Head of the Laboratory for Infectious Disease Diagnostics T. Karibayev took part in the meeting.
