July 10 – Veterinary Worker’s Day

  • by

Veterinary medicine is a profession with a history spanning thousands of years and plays a vital role in society. Originating in ancient times, it has become an essential field that not only protects animal health but also contributes to food security, prevents the spread of infectious diseases, and strengthens the biological security of the nation.

The legal foundation of Kazakhstan’s veterinary sector was established with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Veterinary Medicine” on July 10, 2002. Since 2024, this date has been officially observed as Veterinary Worker’s Day.

Today, Kazakhstan’s veterinary sector continues to develop in line with modern standards, bringing together the extensive experience of veteran professionals and the expertise of a new generation of specialists. Their daily dedication provides a solid foundation for maintaining animal health, ensuring food security, and supporting the sustainable development of the country’s agricultural sector.

On the occasion of this professional holiday, we sincerely congratulate all veterinary professionals! We wish you good health, prosperity, continued professional success, and every achievement in your dedicated service for the benefit of our country.

With best wishes,
The staff of the National Reference Center for Veterinary Medicine, a Republican State Enterprise with the Right of Economic Management under the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
